The soft vocal plays out through the centre of mix whilst being engulfed in a number of other typical Wizard features. These include the sweeping arpeggiators and hard hitting bass tones. This track is available for free download so be sure to check it out through the SoundCloud link below!

Hucci - Hitta

It’s been a little while since we heard from the mastermind that is Hucci, but when we heard this, we knew that the wait was totally worth it. It appears that the non stop touring has inspired Hucci to create something that would go off on any dance floor.

'Hitta' pretty much defines itself. The combination of powerful 808 melodies and an extremely catchy melody makes this Hucci's strongest tune to date and it's available for free download via the SoundCloud link below!

Cream Q&A - Wizard

image

Welcome back to the second part of our new Q&A series. This week, we sat down with Wizard to discuss his production methods and future projects.

First of all, you seem to always have a tank full of inspiration. Do you have a particular process when writing music that allows you to convert those ideas quickly?

I don’t really have a process its just the amount of music i listen to i guess, if i hear some hot shit, whether it be new or old music i always want to go and make a beat straight after or as soon as i can.

Your known for your abstract sense of humor, do you feel that translates into your music at all?

No not really I’ve always just been like that, but when i make music I’m quiet as shit. The focus is always on finishing the track there and then I rarely start ideas and come back to them.

If you could only work with one vocalist, ever, who would it be?

Rick Ross “uuh!”

What is your personal favorite Cream Collective release of yours?

I’d say ‘King Raah’ because it got me a lot of new fans and has done really well. It had Radio 1 and 1xtra plays and a lot of dope DJ’s tell me they use it in their sets etc. It was just one of those beats i knocked out in about 2 hours and we put it out there.

Are there any collaborations in the works from yourself?

Yeah loads! I have some crazy features in the pipeline but i cant say just yet what they are unless they don’t come off. As for production collaborations me and Flechette from France got something crazy that’s finished. Also, me and Hucci should be getting something done soon. I will be collaborating with loads of people this year though.

Cream Q&A - SYZ

image

We are very excited to kick start our new Q&A series with this first edition. We sat down with the newest member of the collective; SYZ for a quick interview about his musical goals and achievements so far!

If you personally were to describe your production style, how you would you go about it?

Quite experimental. Dreamy with a lot of textures and a lot of beautiful accidents. I like things sounding quite rough cut at times; especially my drums. I think the best way to describe my music would be post-wave induced G-funk.

Which of your many releases on Cream do you feel is most important to you?

Probably the Roses EP. The way I produced those tunes consecutively one after the other in a fairly short space of time made the whole thing flow really well as each tune kind of vibed off the last one. Around the time I was making it/ when it dropped it was vibes outside of the studio as well so that also added to it.

If there was one track you wish you had been the creator of, what would it be?

50 Cent - Heat - Pure gasment!

In the near future, what other Cream artists are you looking to collaborate with?

There is nothing planned at the moment. Me and Orca will definitely produce some new stuff very soon. I would like to work with any of the artists within the collective. Everyone’s very talented so whoever it was the final product would be dope no doubt!

Without giving away and super spoilers, what do we have to look forward to from yourself in the near future?

Been working with some vocalists, its taken a while but we are finally starting to get stuff recorded/finished. I’m sure that it will be released in the near future. I’ve also been working on a body of work. I’ve got around 6 near enough finished bits under my belt that I’m keeping quiet (with more to come), ready for a release at a later date. On top of this I’ve been working on my live set as well so hopefully should see that poppin’ off towards the end of the year!

SYZ - Mantra

image

Cream Collective are very proud to present ‘Mantra’, the latest single from Brighton based producer SYZ. Coming off the back of the fantastic release, ‘Sunlick’ it was going to be quite a hard task to punch just as high, but he has definitely succeeded.

SYZ’s beautiful atmospheric feel is weaved throughout this track, as well as his trademark crunchy drum arrangements. The two elements combine to give the whole mix a very heavenly feel as they float around the full frequency range. With content like this and a growing audience we are all very excited to see where SYZ will be by the end of this year.Be sure to check out the track and download it from the SoundCloud link below!
